JXplorer is a great tool for this.
Windows: Find your ldap server using a command prompt. This will get you your preferred servers and their ports.
- nslookup - this will get you your default server (server.domain.ext)
- set types=all
- Linux: TODO
Connect to the server using JXplorer
- Port (typically 389)
- Base DN: DC=domain,DC=ext
- Security - unless your LDAP server has anonymous access, you'll probably need to use User+Password authentication
- ext is referring to the end of the hostname, which could be "org", "com", or "local"
