Basic LDAP

JXplorer is a great tool for this.

  1. Windows: Find your ldap server using a command prompt.  This will get you your preferred servers and their ports.
    1. nslookup - this will get you your default server (server.domain.ext)
    2. set types=all
    3. _ldap._tcp.domain.ext
  2. Linux: TODO
  3. Connect to the server using JXplorer
    1. Host
    2. Port (typically 389)
    3. Base DN: DC=domain,DC=ext
    4. Security - unless your LDAP server has anonymous access, you'll probably need to use User+Password authentication

- ext is referring to the end of the hostname, which could be "org", "com", or "local"
